Motivation
Synology WorkPlus 過去已在企業內部運行 20 餘年，因體驗不佳而影響工作效率的情況時有所聞，在一次資料遺失事件後，公司決定重新開發系統，不僅要解決資料安全問題，更要全面改善使用者體驗。
The legacy bug tracking system, used internally for 20 years, suffered from poor user experience that hindered work efficiency. Following a data loss incident, the company decided to develop a new system to prevent recurrence.
Key Features
為了改善上述使用性疑慮，我們擬定四大優化主軸，分別是即時且多條件的進階搜尋、淺顯易懂的 Issue 回報流程、可自定義的 Milestone 標籤以及完整的網站設計規範，打造全面提升的專案管理體驗。
To address the aforementioned usability issues, we have introduced four key features to deliver an enhanced user experience.
Advanced Search
使用者可以輸入或選擇條件，靈活地將 Criteria 組合成複雜的搜尋條件並進行搜尋，不但支援跨專案搜尋，亦可透過已儲存的篩選器快速取得結果。
Users can type or select criteria, flexibly combine them with operators, and search across projects, or use saved filters for quicker results.
Issue Creation
目前的表單存在多項使用性疑慮：冗餘欄位和不明確的必填、選填欄位指示，大幅降低了表單填寫效率；同時，網路中斷可能導致未儲存的資料遺失，迫使使用者重新填寫表單，造成了顯著的體驗落差。
The current form suffers from multiple usability issues: redundant fields and unclear required/optional indicators significantly reduce completion efficiency. More critically, network interruptions cause unsaved data loss, forcing users to restart the process - creating a substantial experience gap.
Milestone Indicator
在舊版系統之中，使用者僅能透過標籤為各個事件標示 Milestone，其差異性薄弱導致易於混淆；然而，經由此次的更新，使用者可直接為個別事件設定 Milestone，其設計與標籤有著顯著的視覺差異明確，若處於懸停 (Hover) 狀態下更能詳細顯示其相關資訊，協助使用者更為明確的追蹤每個議題的時程與進展。
Users can set milestones for individual issues. The hover interaction displays related information, with a distinct visual style that differentiates milestones from labels to prevent confusion, enabling clear schedule tracking for each issue.
Design Validation
由於新系統的事件搜尋功能與過去的互動模式截然不同，開發團隊進行了快速使用性訪談以驗證功能可用性，並發現了相關使用性疑慮，例如：使用者誤認 Criteria 選單為搜尋記錄、忽略 Operator = AND 與運算子群組的關聯性，以及事件歷史記錄資訊的排序設計等問題。
We conducted a Rapid Usability Test to validate the redesigned issue search functionality, as this release introduces a fundamentally different interaction paradigm critical to the product experience.
Outcome
經過六個月的內部測試與驗證後，系統成功完成資料轉移並正式在全公司上線。此系統大幅提升了近 1,000 名員工的生產效率，並獲得管理層的高度讚賞。憑藉其卓越的穩定性和現代化架構，系統現已正式獲准商業化，為外部企業提供專業的議題管理解決方案。
After six months of rigorous internal testing and validation, the system successfully completed data migration and was officially launched company-wide. It has significantly improved productivity for nearly 1,000 employees, earning high praise from management. Thanks to its exceptional stability and modern architecture, the system has now been officially approved for commercialization, offering professional issue management solutions to external enterprises.
